Making ideas come true is our target. Structural engineering is an especially advanced F&M Ingegneria department paying special attention to the training process of its young engineers and technicians. The Company’s direction is towards a thorough research of advanced construction techniques using either traditional materials such as concrete, steel, wood and stone or unconventional materials such as composite materials, polymers, sheets and membranes, glass, special steel, metal alloys, natural fibres, etc. This engineering department is equipped with the most sophisticated structural calculation systems, both static and dynamic, linear and non-linear. It also exploits a structures’ behaviour simulator in case of fire and heat leakage, and a fluid-dynamic calculator supplied with a computer simulation to specifically study the effects of strong wind and turbulence on the building.
