Work on the new “Access road to the Macro island First Industrial Zone of Marghera” completed
The contract to develop the new connection between Mestre and Porto Marghera, Venice’s industrial area, was given to F&M Ingegneria in 2018. The remodeling of this intersection included coping with constrained spaces, tracks on both sides of Via Libertà, and—most importantly—the impossibility of obstructing the largely always-guaranteed two lanes in and two lanes out traffic between Mestre and Venice.
Work began in November 2019, but was expected to take a long time because of these factors. Not to mention that in between were the Covid years that delayed and blocked every construction site.
To have completed this work is a great satisfaction.
It is an ambitious project that fits into a context of profound urban transformation with an important meaning for the city and all those who frequent the university, Forte Marghera and San Giuliano Park.
