The redevelopment of the large park at the Reggia di Rivalta is now complete!
The park has been restored to its former glory, when the Este court was based in Rivalta. Twenty-six hectares of public green space, which form the heart of the Ducato Estense project, now have a new design that combines 18th-century and contemporary elements.
Visitors can stroll along the park’s avenues and discover its many attractions, such as caves, ponds, a belvedere, an orchard, a dancing meadow and a roundabout flanked by elm trees. The redevelopment is part of a nationally significant plan funded by MIUR: a project to enhance the Este cultural heritage system.
