Renovation of the “A. Fusinato” Student Hotel
The project involved the renovation and functional restoration of Padua’s historic Casa dello Studente, a modernist building dating back to the 1930s, with the aim of restoring it to its original function as a university residence and multifunctional hub for students. The project, guided by the principles of conservation and reversibility, involved the restoration of the original architectural features, the structural safety reinforcement, and the upgrading of building systems, as well as the repurposing of both interior and exterior spaces. With a total floor area of approximately 6,000 m², the complex houses 187 residential units, cultural and educational services, and recreational spaces open to the university community.
F&M Ingegneria was responsible for General Coordinator, carried out the detailed design of the structures and systems, managed Safety Coordination during the Design and Construction phases (Health & Safety), and provided Construction Management.
