Former Arsenal
The redevelopment project for the former Arsenal area, promoted by the State Property Agency, covers approximately 140,000 square metres along the Ticino River, crossed by the Navigliaccio canal. The initiative stands out for its innovative approach, which integrates contemporary architecture, the enhancement of existing historical structures and new iconic landmarks, set in open spaces that highlight nature and water as central elements. The road network includes circular routes and avenues for improved accessibility, with a focus on hydraulic safety, environmental restoration and compliance with LEED and CAM protocols. The project aims to transform the former Arsenal into a benchmark for urban regeneration, blending landscape, sustainability and public functionality.
